Naim Araïdi was born in 1950 on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in the Druze village of Maghar. A professor, he teaches Arabic and Hebrew literature at several universities. He is the author of several collections of poetry, one of which has been translated into French, Le trente-deuxième rêve (Paris, Levant, 1990).
